Roswell

Located just north of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs and south of Alpharetta and Woodstock, Roswell is one of Atlanta’s most beautiful upscale suburbs. With over 88,000 residents, it’s one of Georgia’s top 10 largest cities, but much of it is reminiscent of a small town. Roswell sits on the Chattahoochee River, which means plenty of parks and ways to enjoy the great outdoors; features hundreds of stores and restaurants; and Georgia 400 runs right through it, which means it’s just a quick commute away from Atlanta. In 2010, CNN ranked Roswell as one of the top 100 “Best Places to Live” in the United States due to its top-ranked schools, low crime rate, and numerous city-wide activities. For this reason, it is often considered one of the most family-friendly cities in the state of Georgia, as well.

Real Estate

In 2014, the average home in Roswell sold for just over $350,000, but it is easy to find homes in the $200,000’s up to over $1 million in the city. Some of the more popular neighborhoods are Horseshoe Bend, Stonegrove, Windfaire, Iverness, and Brookfield Country Club which features a golf course, 10 tennis courts, and an Olympic-size pool.

Attractions and Amenities

One of Roswell’s premier attractions is its over 800 acres of city parks where residents can spend their weekends hiking, biking, rafting, playing sports, and fishing. The city also maintains several fields, playgrounds, and historic sites. The Chattahoochee Nature Center offers endless activities for kids and adults alike. For a night out on the town, consider one of Roswell’s beloved eateries like Table and Main, Swallow at the Hollow, and Nine Street Kitchen. The city is also famous for its annual parades, festivals, and ceremonies, such as the Roswell Arts Festival. The Alive After 5 event is a monthly party that features music, games, food, shopping, and fun for the whole family. It takes place on Roswell’s famous Canton Street which is home to independent shops, art galleries, restaurants, and more.
