Milton

Milton is a distinctive community embracing small-town life and heritage while preserving and enhancing their rural character. One of Georgia’s newer cities (incorporated in 2006), the city of Milton offers the perfect blend of rural charm with urban convenience for its 34,000 inhabitants. Milton is largely an affluent area, with the median household income at approximately $111,000 per year. Nearly half the homes in Milton are considered newer homes, with over 40 percent built since 2000, and over 90 percent built since 1970.  Median home values are just over $400,000, with actual home prices ranging roughly between the mid-$200s for a fair-sized townhome/condo to several million for larger homes and acreage. Over one-quarter of the single-family homes in Milton are 5-bedrooms or larger.

Attractions and Amenities

As a mainly rural and residential area, the great outdoors remains one of Milton’s greatest assets, with numerous parks and open spaces available within a few minutes of town.  The Alpharetta Athletic Club boasts two golf courses, tennis, swimming and exercise facilities, while the 8-mile Big Creek Greenway Trail is just a few minutes’ drive into nearby Alpharetta.  Besides several local shopping centers, North Point Mall in Alpharetta offers many shopping and dining options. Historic downtown Crabapple (now split between Milton, Alpharetta and Roswell) offers several shops and restaurants in a collective of historic structures, with an antique festival held every October.
